it is a switch problem most likely if door and window use same fuse then try the switch itself for the locks
When you get locked out of a car with power locks, you can call a locksmith or use a slim Jim tool to open the locks. You can also try pushing something through a slightly open window in order to reach the lock button.
sounds like your fuse has gone out , might want to check it , use your owners manual to locate and use proper procedure for removal
The power windows on a 1999 Dodge Durango use a self resetting circuit breaker. There is no fuse in the fuse box for the windows.
One of two reasons...or maybe both:Faulty WiringBlown Fuse (or faulty fuse) The reason they do not work is because they lost the programming. You have to hold the power window switch in the up and down position for a few seconds and the use of them will return. The time of lost power caused the programming to go out on these items. There is probably something in the owners manual about this situation.
25Amp Circuit Breakers are mainly used for power window supplies.
The power window fuse for the Audi A8 is typically located in the fuse box, which can usually be found under the dashboard or in the trunk, depending on the model year. To identify the specific fuse for the power windows, refer to the vehicle's owner's manual for the fuse diagram. If the windows are not functioning, checking and replacing a blown fuse may resolve the issue. Always ensure to use the appropriate fuse rating as specified in the manual.
Check the main 30amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood. If you do not use the correct amp fuse the door locks will not function properly or at all.
It could be faulty wiring or more than likely the fuse is blown. check the owners manual for fuse locations, and use the extra fuses to replace any blown ones.
To disconnect the fuse for the auto door locks on a 2002 Saturn SL, first locate the fuse box, which is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Consult the fuse diagram, usually found on the cover of the fuse box or in the owner's manual, to identify the specific fuse for the door locks. Once identified, use a fuse puller or pliers to carefully remove the fuse. This will disable the automatic door lock feature.
If the power door locks quit working on a 1979 Corvette, it is due to broken pigtail switches. With age and use, the pigtails break and leaves the power door locks inoperable.
Check under the hood for a power distribution boxAnswerYou may be looking in the wrong one. There may be additional fuse panels on your car. Typically, one under the driver's side dash, and one under the hood. Sometimes, one fuse covers a lot of circuits and may not be labeled specifically for the windows. Use a test light and test them all. There is not a fuse. There is what is called a thermister near the motor on the power window. The thermister stops the electricity flow once it reaches a certain temperature. You need to replace the entire power window actuator. I have done it. I think the actuator cost about $70 on the internet and you can find directions on how to replace it. It is not too difficult.
