Should be 5W-20, which is typical for Ford products with a gasoline engine.
According to the 2006 Ford Expedition and Ford F-150 Owner Guides ( 5W-20 ) * with engine oil filter change , 7.0 U.S. quarts / 6.6 litres of 5W-20 engine oil is used in the 5.4 , 3V engine used in the 2006 Ford Expedition / Ford F-150
10 w 30
I would recommend at least Grade 8, just to make sure.
In a 1995 Ford Taurus : ( 5W-30 is the PREFERRED engine oil for the 3.0 and 3.8 )
regular unleaded , 87 octane
For a 2001 Ford E-150 : The gasoline engines use ( " regular " unleaded , 87 octane )
5 W - 30 is the preferred oil - that's what I've always used in my 1995 Explorer XLT
The stock horsepower for a Ford 429 engine is 320. The Ford 429 engine was used on Ford vehicles made in the 1950s and 1960s.
According to the 2002 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : ( " regular " unleaded , 87 octane is used in the 4.6 liter V8 engine )
For older vehicles, 10W30 or 10W40 should be used in a hot climate. A lighter viscosity oil, such as 5W30, should be used in newer vehicles.?æ
If the 4.6 liter is in a Ford Expedition it should be ( 6 quarts ) with engine oil filter change
