turnes in to acid..
Antifreeze usually has corrosion inhibitors added to the liquid. When the antifreeze mixture has too little percentage of this (usually too much water has been added) then corrosion starts to build because of the chemical reaction of the heat, water and materials used in your radiator/reservoir.
There has been a very lively discussion going on about "Red" or Dexcool
In most cases it it an iridescent green color, but It depends on the year make and model. It could be green, yellow, red, or pink, blue, or purple. If it has been contaminated with oil it will be gray.
Its been using the regular Green stuff since it was new, so just the standard is fine dave
Antifreeze will burn; however, if it's been diluted with water 50/50 (which is how it's used), the engine will not run very well at all and there will be a lot of white smoke from the tailpipe.
It probably takes the orange stuff which is dex-cool, if your smart you will have the complete cooling system flushed and put in the old green antifreeze as the dex-cool has been known to eat head and intake gaskets.
Be sure that you have adequate antifreeze in your car, the temperature has been dropping sharply.
Yes
When additional heat is added, the temperature of the solution remains constant until all the liquid has been converted into gas. This is also called the latent heat of vaporisation.
Denatured alcohol is drinkable alcohol with something added to it to make it unhealthy to drink. It can be used as a gas antifreeze. So can other alcohols that are not safe to drink from the start and do not have to be denatured.
That really depends on the ham and how long its been sitting or if green coloring was added for "Green Eggs and Ham".If it is fuzzy then yes it is spoiled. Ham should only be frozen for up to 2 months.
dex-cool is what is used from the factory but I suggest you flush it out and install regular green antifreeze as the dex-cool has been know to eat head and intake gaskets.
