You will get streaks and blotches on your windscreen.
If it gets hot enough,it will overflow out the integral vent on the reservoir. Should be hot and cold levels on the reservoir. System itself is not affected by high level. A little hot ATF fluid goes a long ways.
Upper left engine compartment. Little yellow reservoir, with wide cap, no dipstick, but has mesurements on side of reservoir.
Not if it's a small amount. The 2 fluids are very close and in an emergency you can use trans in power steering on most cars with no ill effects since it basically just used for hydro pressure, HOWEVER YOU CANNOT use power steering fluid in a transmission. If you want to flush it out use a turkey baster and draw it out bit by bit adding and running in short sessions until all fluid exchanged. It is a little wasteful but reservoir doesn't hold that much anyway
A reservoir.
surface water
The reservoir is mounted directly on the pump, which is directly below the alternator. You can see it if you look closely below the alternator. You will see the reservoir cap, it is a little tight to get to, and to fill it you will probably need a funnel.
Would help a little if said WHICH transmission.
"Little Green Bag" by George Baker
The reservoir is located on the right hand side of the engine compartment just below and a little to the right of the master cylinder resevior
transmission cooling system failure. transmission has its own little, circle-like looking radiator (located on top of the transmission), and if it has a little crack or if it has a leak in the gasket it will mix transmission fluid with the coolant. good luck!
You have to take it to the dealer there is no way for you to check it You can check the transmission fluid, there is a little window on the side of the transmission on the drivers side that shows the fluid level and you can also add transmission fluid on that same side. They just tell you to take it to a dealer so they can make more money!
Not as bad as putting a little bit of power steering fluid in the brake reservoir, but I would have the power steering system flushed just the same. Problems wouldn't happen soon but in the long term they will.
