The person that rear ended will probably get hit with a following too close (if they weren't they would have noticed the other vehicle slow down or stop) and an At Fault Accident and the car that got rear ended would probably get an equipment violation for their brake lights out.
Try looking under the rear back seat.
Make sure your entire body touches the back of your seat and headrest
The battery is under the passenger rear seat, you can jump start it under the hood and you can disconnect it just below the rear passenger seat. If you want access to the battery, you must remove the rear passenger seat. if its not under the hood check under the back seat or in the trunk drive safe

The Battery is located under the rear seat. Pull up slightly on the bottom of the back seat and it will come up and out and there is the battery and fuses and all the electrical wiring.
It's under the rear seat. Simply remove the rear seat by sticking your hands in the "biteline" (where the rear seat and seatback meet), and pull the seat up and out. The battery is tied down there with a battery brace. When replacing the rear seat, be sure that the two steel tabs on the front/bottom of the seat frame are in place before pushing the seat biteline back into place.
