I'm not a mechanic, but my research tells me lots of bad things will happen depending on how long you drive the vehicle, assuming it keeps running. If you realize your mistake right away you can siphon out the gasoline and while the tractor may run a little rough it will smooth out. If you run the tractor for awhile with the gas the fuel lines will have to be purged as well and anyplace else the gas went. Physical engine damage is rare but possible. Unlike the Nike ad, just "don't" do it. If you do, try to rectify the problem as quicly as possible.
Depends...by "diesel tractor" do you mean "farm tractor" or "semi tractor"? You're SUPPOSED only to put off road diesel in a farm tractor. That's why they make it. If you have put it in a semi tractor, get hold of your dispatch/brief/lawyer right away for advice on what to do. If you have a pre-2007 engine your trouble is almost exclusively legal. If your engine is 2007 or 2010 compliant, you're probably going to screw up your EGR and diesel particulate filter, which will break your engine.
get that gas out of there as much as you can and then fill it with diesel a little regular gas will be ok and is ok to mix with diesel and will actauly clean it a little
yes,it is safe to put off road diesel fuel not only in tractor but also in other vehicles
You can put petrol (UK spelling) into a diesel container (can) provided the container is empty. It is best not to, though, in case you later empty the petrol into a diesel vehicle's tank by mistake - which could happen if the container happens to be marked diesel on the outside of the container.
Hopefully you haven't run it yet, so drain the tank and flush the fuel lines to keep the diesel out of the engine. If you have run it, consult a mechanic. You may have to break down the engine.
No. Do not put unleaded gas in a diesel tank.
Never put gas in a diesel car. And never put diesel in a gas car. An engine is built to handle one and not the other.
The engine may not start and/or have poor performance. Drain gas tank and fill with proper fuel.
Diesel fuel injector cleaner will not hurt your unleaded gas motor. The diesel fuel injector cleaner is basically the same as your unleaded injector cleaner.
Only if you put diesel in gas tank.
drain it
NO, of course not.
