Try spraying "liquid wrench" type oil and let it soak in for awhile. Try heating with a propane torch for 30 seconds or so, then loosening. Don't do both as oil may catch fire. Lastly, try loosening in the wrong direction. Some calipers have left-handed threads and you may be tightening by accident! Good luck.

How do you remove the caliper after you loosen both bolts?

it should just lift off.. if not loosen the pressure on the caliper by inserting a screwdriver twen the pad and the caliper wall.. and prise the caliper open. when you have the caliper off.. use a C clamp and a slip off wood or whatever to press the caliper pistons back into the housing.. this will allow room for the new pads and any adjustments.. reseat the caliper and tighten the bolts.. when you press the brake pedal the caliper pistons will reseat themselves and you know this has happened as the pedal will go firm

Up or down to loosen caliper braket bolts?

To loosen caliper bracket bolts, you typically turn the wrench or socket counterclockwise, which is often referred to as "down" in terms of the direction of the tool. Make sure to apply steady pressure, and if the bolts are particularly tight, a breaker bar may help. Always ensure you're using the correct size socket to avoid stripping the bolts.
