Check to see that the cooling fan is moving a lot of air. Sometimes they'll get slow without blowing a fuse. I've also seen new replacement fans wired backwards. Make sure the fan is pulling air through from front to back. If the fan is OK you might find out if the thermostat is working properly.
did you check to make sure the electric fan(s) are properly coming on? They are famous for the relay losing contact. hope this helps......................Mike
dose the electric fan run if not check the relay if it runs check the water pump
Fan relay is located under the hood. There should be a box some where with fuses and relays in it. Check the fuse and relay. Sometimes tapping the relay works.
Check the fuses, check the relay and then check the fan motor.
fan clutch?
Try replacing the thermostat.
check your fan clutch if its weak it will overheat
did you check the radiator or the head gasket?
My car did the exact ame thing, my fan sensor relay (plugs on the motor) came unplugged. Plugged it back up and it still overheated. I went to the part store and bought an new fan sensor relay switch. (around $15-$18) I also replaced the other fan relay sensor. Finally I bought a failsafe thermostat for the car. I have not have a problem. The fan kicks on normally now.
The relay could be bad, but more than likely the motor has died. The relay would still click, but nothing would happen.
Some cooling fans will stay running even if the car is shut off to cool down the motor. Once the fans thermostat gets tripped to shut off, the fan will continue to run.
main engine relay should be replaced with fuel pump relay. Are you sure your fuel filter is not plugged.
