I believe you mean a Raybestos alternator. It would all depend on the manufacturer.

Whether the alternator on a Kia Spectra is covered under warranty depends on the specific warranty terms of the vehicle, which can vary based on factors like the model year and whether the warranty is a manufacturer or extended warranty. Typically, new vehicles come with a limited warranty that covers major components, including the alternator, for a certain period or mileage. However, for precise coverage details, it's best to consult the owner's manual or contact a Kia dealership.
Depending on how long the interval was between alternator changes. Less than a year and I would look for warranty on the alternator. Now there are factors beyond the alternator manufacturers control. A battery that is on it's last legs will take out an alternator really fast. A stereo system with a large Amp(s) will also shorten the life of an alternator drastically. These situations will not be a warranty issue.
yes they are all electric components are covered for the life of the warranty. It will depend on the warranty. Powertrain usually only covers internal engine and transmission parts.

2011 and not still under warranty? The Alternator witch has a ACM (alternator control module) built in will run in the retail area of 475 to 600 dollars. Labor time is usually 1.5 to 2 hours
For original warranties, it depends on the level of warranty. Usually for the first year or two on a new car it would be covered, but after that, only if you have the premium extended warranties. For aftermarket and used vehicle warranties, most basic ones won't cover electrical components like the alternator. The upgraded ones usually will though. Best to ask the warranter or read your warranty details. If you need a new alternator you might as well get it done (at a warranty approved shop) and seek reimbursement from warranty. The worst they can do is say 'no', you need the alternator anyways, so it's not like you'll be losing anything.
If your battery is not fully functioning and needs to be replaced, it can make the alternator work harder. This could cause a brand new alternator to go bad. Check your battery, if the battery is not the issue, return the alternator, it should have a warranty on it for at least the first 30 days.
