A TBC fuse on Chevy trucks is part of the Trailer Brake Controller system, which manages the braking of a trailer when it is connected to the vehicle. The fuse protects the circuit from overloads and ensures safe operation of the trailer's brake system. If the fuse is blown, it can lead to malfunctioning trailer brakes, requiring replacement to restore functionality. It's typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard or hood, depending on the model year.
The TBC fuse is for Truck Body Control. It is for the interior lighting and door locks.
Look at the fuse box at the drivers side end of the dash. On the bottom right side there are two 15 amp fuses marked TBC 2C and TBC 2B. Check these. (it is probably the bottom one.)
In a Chevy Trailblazer, the "TBC 4CC" on the fuse panel refers to the "Trailer Brake Controller" circuit. It is related to the vehicle's towing capabilities, specifically for controlling the electric brakes on a trailer. If there are issues with towing or trailer brake functionality, checking the fuse associated with this circuit may help identify the problem.
It cuts fuel to the injectors if the ignition switch has been tampered with. Goes through a 10 amp fuse labeled "TBC." in the engine compartment fuse box.
