If your coolant is at the appropriate level in the radiator AND in the reservoir and you have no leaks in any hoses AND your thermostat is opening correctly then there is something wrong with the electrical fans system. It is not an air conditioning problem BUT you will have a hard time getting heat in the car if the coolant is low. The system has two fans. One Hi speed and one Low speed as evidenced by the two different size fans behind the radiator. I had this happen on an 85 Caddy where I had to replace the Fan Module...cost me $120 and it's right behind the left headlights. Can't remember the procedure I used to get it out because I think it involved moving the battery or taking other stuff out of the way. The reason I cant remember is because I havent owned the car in about two years and the problem happened about 5 years ago and now I own a 92 Caddy. MUCH different performance and ride than the 4.1 engine. Good luck!
Its plugged. replace.
To my knowledge, Cadillac will not be producing the Cadillac DTS for the year 2012. The Cadillac DTS will be replaced for the 2012 year with the Cadillac XTS. Hope this helps!
The "DTS" as in Cadillac DTS stands for DeVille Touring Sedan. The Cadillac DTS replaced the Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac DTS was first produced in 2005.
yes there are aftermarket solutions for this
Absolutely not!The last generation of this model was produced between 1993 and 1996 and it was the largest production car made in the USA.It was replaced in 1997 by the d'Elegance trim line of the Cadillac DeVille.Ultimately,in 2006 the Cadillac DeVille nameplate was replaced by the Cadillac DTS,the current flagship of GM's Cadillac luxury car division.
If they leak, break or stop dampening the ride
locksmith or have new locks installed
On a 1996 everything is integrated onto the blower motor. I believe '97s are the same. Unfortunately, the whole blower motor usually has to be replaced. (Approx. $238.00 @ Advance Auto Parts)
From your description it sounds like the same problem I have had with my 94. I replaced the fuel Injectors and that fixed it right up. hopefully that helps. Take it to a qualified mechanic for a diagnostic Check for computer signal, ECT, noid pulse,
we would need more information but most if not all bushings can be replaced
Located n the fuel tank.tank has to be dropped to be replaced
The only way to fix it is to take it to the dealer and have the whole gage cluster replaced there was a service bulletin out on this from Cadillac and they will pay for part of the cost.
