It's honestly a better idea to just give in and go buy a new set of spark plug wires... You will tear them up and cause a dead short if you try and pull the caps off of the wires... most of them are glued on, and they can't take much pressure if you pull on them... sorry. Just buy new ones, you'll waste less time that way, and they are not really that expensive.

remove the plastic or metal cover that is in the center of the valve cover. Then remove the coils one at a time (Its best to do them one at a time to keep track of where they came from) and DO NOT disconnect the wires going to the coils. Yes, to remove or install spark plugs from a Chevy Aveo, it’s best to use a spark plug socket, which is specifically designed to grip the spark plug securely. A ratchet and extension can also be helpful for reaching the plugs, especially in tighter spaces. Additionally, a torque wrench is recommended to ensure the spark plugs are tightened to the manufacturer’s specifications. Always consult the vehicle’s manual for specific instructions and torque settings.
In many automobile engine configurations, a spark plug socket is the only way you will ever get at the plug. But even in situations whee the hex on the plug is easily accessible (lawnmower, for example) a spark plug socket is still the best way to remove it without damage to the plug.
If the standard socket does not fit, ( 5/8 ) then try and find another size to fit, even metric. This is the best to do, other wise, you will have to remove the head.

Always supervise your cat and avoid busy roads or areas with potential dangers. Bring water and treats, and be prepared to quickly remove your cat from any stressful situations.
