If you damaged a Champion RJ19HX spark plug, then you can indeed replace and substitute that with a Champion RJ19LM spark plug due to the similarity in their sizes.
Throw any RJ2YXLE away that you come across and install a RJ19LM. Problem solved. I work for a company that sells briggs products and we have replaced, literally, hundreds of these this season. It's a horrible design. There are a few other plugs that will work as well, ( RJ19HX for example ) are more money, but you can rely on a good old RJ19LM to get the job done. Hope this helps.
