Well, darling, a BCU (Body Control Unit) is responsible for managing functions related to the vehicle's body, like lights and windows, while an ECU (Engine Control Unit) is in charge of the engine's performance. So basically, one deals with making sure your car looks pretty, and the other makes sure it goes vroom vroom. Just remember, one controls the body, and the other controls the heart of your ride.
Bcu all day!
There is a difference in the wiring and ECU between 96 and 97. I don't have a wiring diagram for them, but I believe most haynes manuals should have it. The 97 harness and ECU is a much more desirable setup if you intend to tune the engine since the 96 ECU is not supported by any aftermarket tuning programs.

There's no physical difference between a Porsche Turbo and a Porsche Turbo S beside the ECU tuning. Many of the options you would pay for on the non "S" version are standard on the Turbo "S"
Yes you can. The only difference between the two engines are the ECU controlled pump on the TE engine.
yes.different plugs on several sensors and the plugs going into the pdc and ecu.

The Body Control Unit (BCU) on a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado is an electronic module responsible for managing various body functions and systems, such as lighting, power windows, door locks, and other convenience features. It facilitates communication between different components within the vehicle's electrical system, ensuring they operate cohesively. The BCU plays a critical role in enhancing the vehicle's functionality and user experience. If any issues arise with body functions, the BCU may be a focal point for diagnostics and repairs.
it depends, i would need to know the ecu's , vtec or non-vtec
Usually nothing. They usually both refer to replacing the vehicle's ECU. Buyer beware: Many "performance chips" are ripoffs.
