The engine management light is systematically there to fore warn you if there is something going wrong!
I had a similar prob with mine on the 406 and had it checked out, computer anylized, the lot... nothing was found bar a possible dodgy censor behind the dial consol.
Not a very ethical answer here but i used give the dash a quick "thump" and the e.m light went out. Had there been anything wrong, I was told the e.m light wouldn't go out.
Hope this helps..
Yes it has.
probley weak fuel pump or injectors.
This symbol is the engine management light. It means that there is a fault somewhere on the car, a written warning of the fault will then usually flah up where you digital clock dial is.
This could possibly be the engine management light if so it means the system has detected a fault. The car needs to be connected to diagnostic equipment for fault diagnosis and the light to be re set.
AnswerIt means that a fault has been detected in the engine management system. This could be a problem with any of the inputs to the computer, from a failed component to a loose or broken wire. At worst it could be the electronic management system itself, but try everything else before condemning it.The light means that the engine is probably not running efficiently and is in a 'get you home' mode.
The engine light on a Peugeot 306 symbolises that there is an engine fault. As part of the start up process this light will be on, and remain on for a few seconds after the engine has started. If this light fails to turn off after 10 seconds or comes on while driving you are recommended to consult a Peugeot trained mechanic who will be able to plug in your car to a diagnostics machine and work out what the problem is. Dashboard warnings on your Peugeot 206 depend on the car's problem. It could be an indicator light for ABS, airbag, engine light or something else.
its light as a feather
my engin management light comes on why
To turn off the engine management light on a Peugeot 206, you first need to diagnose the issue triggering the warning light using an OBD-II scanner. Once the underlying problem is resolved—whether it’s a sensor issue, a loose gas cap, or another fault—you can clear the error codes with the scanner. If you don't have a scanner, disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes can also reset the light, but this may not fix the underlying issue. Always ensure that any mechanical problems are addressed before attempting to reset the light.
it is the engine managment light indecating a fault
