It depends on whether your engine is high performance version like a Mustang or not. But Ford only had two v8 firing orders in those years. 1,3,7,2,6,5,4,8 and 1,5,4,2,6,3,7,8. Try one, then the other, and see which one starts the car. Remember that Ford numbers the cylinders 1-4 up the passenger's side and 5-8 up the driver's.

In 1975, firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. The 5.0L/302 firing order became 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 in 1982, which is also the 351W firing order.
