If the order is the same between the 1978 and the 1979 425ci, my 1979 CoupeDeville firing order is 1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8. The passenger side front piston will be 1, and the driver rear will be 8, going back and forth. The distributer starts at the very top right when facing it from the driver side. If it is not the same, my appologies, our manual claims the same for all 425s
