Gm. use to put the filter up in the drivers side frame rail just behind the cab. It is close to were the transmission crossmember bolts to the frame. You will have to lay up under the truck to see it. You can look there, But in 2005 GM. started putting the fuel filter inside of the fuel tank. You can either remove the bed to service it or just pull the fuel tank out to get to it.
