Have you ever met some one that you thought to yourself wow they are missing something! Well that could be that their brain is "not firing on all cylinders" (like a car that is missing or sound bad) or a "few bricks shy of a load" or "3 fries short of a happy meal" I am sure their are others
check firing all four are firing but front two keeps getting gas fouled then start to skip
No - have you checked that it is firing on all cylinders - Sounds like the engine is mis firing or not firing on all cylinders.
As with all inline four cylinders, The firing order is 1342.
All 4 cylinders are 1342
check the plug & plug wires make sure you have spark, what cylinders arent firing, easiest way to tell is start it up, and feel exhaust manifold to see what cylinders are firing or not should be hot... if no spark then replace wire, may be bad coil or dist

your car might be weak on accelerating because it isn't firing on all cylinders.
If you are aware of which two cylinders are NOT firing, I would change out the spark plug wires and the spark plugs with brand new for those two cylinders. If you aren't sure which cylinders AREN'T firing, then do a complete change of new wires and spark plugs. HINT: Try not to use Bosch plugs... I did, and had all kinds of trouble with them even tho they were inexpensive and supposed to be just as good.
If petrol, suspect coil pack/ecu.
Backfiring. Check mixture & ensure firing on all cylinders.
the problum is your on board computer. it controls the firing of you spsrkplugs. have seen this problum quite often.
Bad distributor cap, plug wire, or spark plug.
If all cylinders fired at once, power distribution would be very jerky, so the engine is set up to have the cylinders firing in sequence for a smoother power delivery instead. And if the pistons move in a certain rhythm, then they have to receive their sparks in a certain rhythm too, as the engine will only run well if the cylinders fire when the piston is in a certain position.
