PL14612 or just L14612
Purolator L14459 or Purolator Pure One PL14459. I highly recommend Purolator filters as they are a quality filter equal to or better than the OEM Honda filter.
Purchase a Purolator filter as it comes with complete instructions. I think you will find that a 1998 F150 does not have a cabin filter.
Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter. They come with complete instructions.
Are you sure it has one? If so, just purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter. It comes with detailed instructions on how to replace it.

Go to an Auto Parts store and ask for a cabin filter for a 1998 Ford Ranger. If it has one they will sell you one. Inctructions come with a Purolator cabin filter. I suspect it does not have one.
You don't. Fram makes an inferior filter. Use a quality filter such as Purolator, Wix, or AC/Delco, if you want that engine to last.
First off I would not recommend any Fram filter for any car. They are poor quality filters. Purolator, Wix, & Bosch, are what I recommend. But saying that the correct Fram filter for your 1998 Civic is PH3593A and the PH4386 is not the correct filter.
Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter at Advance Auto Parts. It comes with complete instructions on location and how to change it.The 3.1L doesn't have an cabin air filter only the 3.8L.

Any auto parts store can sell you the correct size filter. I recommend you use an AC/Delco, Purolator, or Wix filter which are all excellent filters. It requires 4.5 quarts of SAE 5w30 oil with oil/filter change.
