Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the

specification on gapping spark plugs for 2006 chevy cobalt
1.1 mm
.6 mm on all 2003 gmc model trucks according to my manual
When was the last time you changed your spark plugs and wires? DO NOT USE A FEELER GAUGE ON THE PLUGS... THEY ARE PRESET AT THE FACTORY AND A FEELER GAUGE OR GAPPING TOOL WILL RUIN THE PLATINUM COATING.
I believe that the gapping is .044" on this engine.
According to one of the Ford websites : For a 1993 Ford Aerostar , 4.0 liter V6 engine : ( the spark plugs are gapped at .054 inch )
Chrysler recommends using Champion spark plugs and gapping at 0.35 (in thousandths of an inch).
buy platinum tip spark plugs they dont need gapping
make sure the gapping on the plug is correct to what the vehicle needs
The standard gap for the Yamaha xs1100 is.032 for most plugs. However, the Iridium Plugs call for a gap of .044.
All iridium plugs never need gapping because they are 10 times harder than a platinum plug.
According to all books it should be .44
