Coud be linkage adjustment Or something internal
It truly depends on the trans - auto or manual? Chev or Dodge? However, if you can go forward but reverse is gone, you have broken parts in the transmission. Really common on some GM's. Dan the tranny man
There may be something wrong with the transmission or the linkage.
Reason is, your clutch is going out or tranny is about to be shot!
Check the transmission fluid level.
You need a new gear box (transmission)
There's probably something wrong with the reverse gear. Have it checked by a mechanic then see how much it would cost to repair it.
yes it does have reverse? wtf? not sure what you are asking or telling? if it wont go in then you may need a new transmission but the car has reverse none the less
There can be several things that will cause your transmission not go into reverse. The most common cause is the gear in the transmission is worn.
If your Suzuki Samurai's transmission won't go into reverse, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include low transmission fluid levels, a malfunctioning shift linkage, or internal transmission problems such as worn gears or a failing reverse gear. Additionally, issues with the clutch, if it's a manual transmission, may also prevent it from engaging reverse. A thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic is recommended to diagnose the exact issue.
the gear reverse don't work in the transmission, the tothers gears okey. This actually happened to me once. A piece inside the transmission had actually broken off, and there was no way to fix it other than to replace the transmission. Sorry.
i would think it's a syncronizer inside the transmission
If your van won't go into reverse, the transmission might be stuck. It could also be low on transmission fluid.
