A local parts house recommends using a motorcycle grade 20W50 oil (not a vehicle grade).

On a 1995 Yamaha 250 Timberwolf, the oil filter is located on the left side of the engine, near the front. It's a cylindrical component that is typically accessible from the side of the ATV. To change it, you may need to remove any nearby components for better access. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to replace the oil filter.
The Yamaha 250 Timberwolf 4x4 typically requires a high-quality gear oil for its gearcase, specifically a 80W-90 or 75W-90 gear oil, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. It's important to use an oil that meets API GL-4 or GL-5 specifications for optimal performance. Always consult the owner's manual for the most accurate and specific fluid requirements.
You can use any kind of 10w-40 oil for a nighthawk

Just a good grade of 10w/30.

The kind of oil that you should use for the Honda CR 250 is Honda HP2 mixed at 32:1. You do not want to use regular motor oil in your bike.
