The Magnaflow muffler has gained acclaim as one of the best available performance exhaust systems on the market. The Magnaflow muffler is made of a rust resistant steel built to endure years before needing to be replaced.
To remove a MagnaFlow muffler from a Dodge truck, first, lift the vehicle securely using jack stands for safety. Disconnect the exhaust pipes from the muffler by loosening the clamps or cutting the pipes if necessary. Remove any hangers supporting the muffler, then carefully slide the muffler out of the exhaust system. Finally, clean the exhaust pipe ends to ensure a proper fit for any replacement muffler.
Magnaflow is a type of muffler produced in USA, they are mostly used on RWD V-8 cars as part of an aftermarket exhaust system. They are noted for their distinct throaty rumble when used with American V-8 motors.
yes it actually increases horsepower and torque its not going to be a huge difference in power but it will increase it a little you will also get great sound out of it..in my opinion flowmaster has the better sound but magnaflow is better in the performance category
Yes, a MagnaFlow muffler can increase horsepower by improving exhaust flow, which reduces back pressure in the exhaust system. This enhanced flow allows the engine to expel exhaust gases more efficiently, potentially leading to better performance and increased horsepower. However, the actual gains can vary based on the vehicle, engine type, and other modifications. It's important to combine a high-performance muffler with other upgrades for optimal results.
well you have to realize flowmaster mufflers are not straight through like magnaflows they have chambers. the super 44 is only a 2 chambered muffler so you willl get horse power but not as much as if you put a magnaflow. but flowmaster does sell a muffler called the outlaw series its just a straight through exhaust with no ceramic glass packing in it. so it will be louder and flow better than magnaflow. so your answer is if you want it loud but want max horse power go with the flowmaster outlaw series but if you just want a nice deep tone not to loud but still good flow than i would saw magnaflow
i had the same problem .. i changed out my exhaust and eliminated the first catilac converter. im now running a y pipe straight into a magnaflow high flow cat with a magnaflow performance muffler... now i have all the power i need.. .good luck.
2 inch inlet and outlet. The format of the muffler is "center/off-set". Performance replacement mufflers are as follows: Flowmaster Series Delta 40 - #942041, Ultra-Flo #17514, Flowtech #50320 & Magnaflow #11224
i had the same problem with my flowmasters on my 71 chevy. its the baffling inside the muffler. a few good hits with a hammer will fix it.
magnaflow is better performance and flowmater is better sound
Mostly steel and in some cases stainless steel.
the muffler
Hello Yes there are many types of auto mufflers, There is oem muffler where it is made to the ridgid car co standerd, then there is aftermarket muffler where is made of less quality, Thern you have the performance muffler where it is made to a standerd for power and not how quiet it should be.
