Glycol
Glycol
This is an easy one... Is the fluid green? if it is, it's coolant.. if not, its brake fluid.
For amount check the brake fluid reservoir. For amount of life left in brake fluid, use a brake fluid tester found at the automotive stores (Autozone, Advance, NAPA).
THe fluid will need flushed and changed.
The answer is, at 275 degrees F.
Oil, Antifreeze, Power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, coolant...
You can find brake fluid for your vehicle at most auto parts stores, automotive supply stores, and some gas stations. It is typically located in the automotive section of the store. Make sure to check your vehicle's owner's manual for the specific type of brake fluid recommended for your car.
Brake fluid can corrode your water pump. If you didn't start the engine after installing the brake fluid, then pump the reservoir empty, flush it with water and refill it with proper coolant. If you DID start it, you need to flush the whole cooling system.
I would say any fluid could act as a coolant. Brake fluid DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 is a polyethylene glycol based fluid. DOT 5 is a silicone based fluid. DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 will absorb water, reduce its boiling point and degrade its performance.

There are many different materials in the brake parts of cars. One of these is the brake fluid, a type of hydraulic fluid.
What fluid? Engine oil, transmission oil, power steering oil, coolant fluid, brake fluid.
