The 2000 GMC with a 305 engine typically uses an AC Delco PF1218 oil filter or an equivalent filter from other brands. It's always a good idea to check your vehicle's owner’s manual or consult with a local parts store to ensure compatibility. Additionally, filter specifications can vary based on any modifications or specific engine configurations, so verifying is recommended.

No , the engine air filter and the engine oil filter are two different items
The Location of the oil filter depends on which engine you have in your CTS. the 3.2 engine the oil filter is located on the bottom of the engine to the left of the oil pan. It is not a screw on type filter it is a canister filter. You will have to unscrew the lid to gain access to the oil filter. On the 3.6 Engine the oil filter is also a canister filter but it is located on the top side of the engine. On the drivers side around the center of the engine cover. It will take a 15/16 socket to remove the lid.

Oil filter location depends on which engine your car has. If it is the 2.5 L 4 cylinder engine the filter is in the engine oil pan. If it is a 3.1L V6 the oil filter is on the bottom edge of the block on the right side of the engine.
An oil filter gasket is the rubber seal at the bottom of the oil filter that seats on the engine.
