30 weight non-detergent oil is what was used in the 20s. But you can and should use SAE 30 High Detergent oil today as it will provide many benefits. If you have been using non-detergent oil then there is more than likely a sludge buildup in the engine at this time. You should not switch to High Detergent oil unless the engine has been rebuilt and totally cleaned. The reason is that the HD oil will loosen all this sludge and contaminate your crankcase. So, if you know the engine is clean then use SAE 30W otherwise use 30W non-detergent oil.
Use 4 quarts full synthetic 10w30.
In a Model T Ford, oil is filled through the oil fill cap, which is located on the top of the engine's crankcase. To add oil, you typically remove the cap and pour the oil directly into the crankcase. It's important to check the oil level regularly, as the Model T's engine has a unique design that requires proper lubrication for optimal performance. Always use the recommended oil type for the best results.
Castrol 20/50, best oil for small hi rev engines.

yes
The Model T's engine was capable of running off of gasoline as well as ethanol. I've also heard a fact that the Model T could run off of hemp oil, but this seems a little hoaxed.
It leaked oil
If you believe it or not, you should consider this. Horse drawn carriages had storm candles in front to help with lighting and visual recongnition. Also, the Model T had headlamps not to mention various others that were Pre-Model T.
Typically it should take a 15-40 weight oil. I have a 7.3L and I use the Shell Rottella T 15-40. Very good oil.
no...................don,t like that
Your question is confusing. An A/T does not use gear oil, it uses A/T fluid. Some manual transmissions do use A/T fluid but I know of A/T that uses gear oil. But the answer is the same for both manual and A/T. You add fluid at the same place you check the fluid level.
