I am having the axel changed not one boot...and the mechanic quoted me $150 which includes parts and labor.
1 - simplest and cheapest method- replace the axle 2- replace the CV joints and boots 3- lots of unnecessary work, very expensive - check the joints and replace as needed, replace boots
I dont know what is reasonable, but my dealer said it would be about $900 to replace both outer CV boots on my 2001 Pathfinder.
how to change a bulb in a boots no 7 mirror
There are no charge boots in crack in time, so I guess so, but the hover boots are in my opinion better and beat the charge boots by a long shot.
try using a pair of pliers, make sure you grip the boots not the wires, twist the boots about half a turn each way. they should break free enough to remove them......
Steel toe boots do not have a specific expiration date. However, they should be replaced when they show signs of wear and tear such as cracks, holes, or damage to the protective toe cap. It is also a good idea to replace steel toe boots if they no longer provide proper support and protection for your feet.
It is not necessary to replace the coilpacks as routine maintenance. At around $70 each, it is a significant expense. Replace only the boots that connect from the coilpacks to the plugs. I think JC Whitney has the boots for $4 each. Replacing the boots is equivalent to replacing the wires on an older car. Do not replace the small wires going to each coil. They are not high energy wires.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! The site is not real.
You might be in time to save your constant velocity joints by replacing the boots. Chances are that if the boots are torn, the damage is done. You will need to replace your half-shaft very soon.
you should wear open-front boots they are the safest and most effective... open-front boots are good as they let the horse feel they have hit a rail... but it does not hurt them
Disconnect the battery, remove the cover, remove the cables and boots, and remove the spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, replace the cables and boots, replace the cover and connect the battery.
