The spark plug gap for a Poulan 2150 chainsaw is typically set at 0.025 inches (0.635 mm). It's important to ensure that the gap is correctly set for optimal engine performance and efficient ignition. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations, as variations may exist based on the model or modifications.
To change the spark plug on a Stihl Wood Boss 024 AV chainsaw, first ensure the chainsaw is turned off and cool. Remove the spark plug cover using a screwdriver, then use a spark plug wrench to unscrew and remove the old spark plug. Check the gap on the new spark plug, install it by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten it with the wrench. Finally, replace the spark plug cover securely before starting the chainsaw.

My 16" Craftsman 36 cc chainsaw manual calls out for a Champion RCJ7Y....if that is the same size chainsaw as yours, I would go with that plug.
Depending on the model there should be a cover above the throttle handle. The spark plug should be under that cover.
