The coils are bolted to the side of the engine, The spark plugs are under the coils, NO PLUG WIRES. unbolt the coils and use A spark plug socket.

To change the spark plugs on a 2004 Lincoln LS, first, disconnect the negative battery cable for safety. Remove the engine cover if necessary, then locate the spark plugs by following the ignition coils. Carefully disconnect the ignition coil connectors and unbolt the coils to access the plugs. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old plugs, gap the new plugs to the manufacturer’s specification, and install them, followed by reattaching the coils and connectors, and finally reconnecting the battery.
