The tool is a 'star' drive bit... But if it's been overtightened (like the one on a friends van I've just ruined) it won't remove it... A word of advice, when you do get it of, replace it with a normal hex equivalent. That is what I am going to do whenever I get this one off my friends Combo.

Assuming this is a transverse mounted engine the drain plug is located at the rear of the sump 13mm spanner or socket fits the plug.
Its a M14 star bit
If the oil plug on your Vauxhall Combo has a rounded off alan key socket, you can try using a pair of vise grips or locking pliers to grip the edges of the plug and turn it counterclockwise. Alternatively, you can cut a slot into the top of the plug with a Dremel or similar tool and use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew it. If those methods fail, consider using a bolt extractor designed for rounded fasteners. Always ensure the engine is cool and the vehicle is secure before attempting to remove the plug.
Every other Renault seems to be a 8mm square plug so don`'t see why not.....
On 1998 year ,The sump plug is on the bottom of sump at the rear right.
