If you have an automatic with overdrive then there is a good possibility that it is the 700R4 transmission.
It has a 4L60E and that is the ONLY one that will work in that year.
Yep! The transmissions are completely interchangeable.
I don't know about the V6 transmission ar any of the manual transmissions, but the automatic V8 (305 or 350) camaros came with a 700R4.
That would be the 4L60E automatic transmission. The 3/4 Tons used the 4L80E trans.
If its a 305, toward the rear left of the air filter cover
and would i have to buy el camino parts for Chevy 1500 tranny or would i buy Chevy 1500 parts for the tranny?
is it a 5 speed? Do you have a v6? a v8? I have a 1995 5.0 (305) 5 speed, I have a nv3500, go to eBay and check Chevy truck 5speed transmissions, they have pictures, and a transmission builder can help you, My trans is one piece bellhousing, and transmission. Hope this helps, I also have 220,000 miles on mine going great.
yes the 305 will fit the 4.3l transmission, 4.3l block is a 305 with 2 cylinders shaved off.
Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! The transmission takes transmission fluid, and the motor takes oil. The 305 should hold 5 quarts of oil I believe. As for the transmission, I believe that all depends on what transmission you have. Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! nearly any trans made by general motors will bolt to a small v-8
3.48"
Yes it will bolt right up, no problem. As long as the 350 is close to the same year as the 305.
