Any good commercial brand (Zerex, Prestone) mixed 50/50 with water

I am the technical manager at prestone. you should really flush and then refill your cooling system with one of the above brands. Make sure that you only use deionized or distilled water in a 50/50 mixure when refilling. never go above a 70% antifreeze/30% water ratio or gelling can occur.
According to the 1998 Ford Contour Owner Guide it came with ( green color antifreeze ) meeting Ford specification ( ESE-M97B44-A )
According to the 2000 Ford Contour Owner Guide : Both the 2.0 and the 2.5 came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford spec ESE-M97B44-A )

I'm pretty sure its the green like alot of older cars. but to be safe get the MULTI use antifreeze.

5W-30 , certified for gasoline engines ( according to the Owner Guide )
Any brand of antifreeze can be used in a 2001 Ford Taurus such as Prestone. The antifreeze can be 50 50 antifreeze.
I was looking at the 1999 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide and it shows : Ford Premium Engine Coolant ( green in color ) Ford specification ( ESE - M97B44 - A ) ( I use the Recochem green colored universal antifreeze because it meets the above Ford specification in my Ford Explorer )
any type of anti-freeze will work ,just mix it half and half with water
