The oil capacity of a 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 is approximately 3.5 quarts (or about 3.3 liters) when including the oil filter. It's important to check the owner's manual for the exact specifications and recommendations for oil type and maintenance intervals. Always ensure the bike is on level ground when checking or changing the oil for accurate readings.
