The fact that it takes 3 days probably points to the alternator not charging, but a faulty voltage regulator can cause this also if you know for a fact that the battery is good. Attach a voltage tester to the battery and monitor the volts as you disconnect the wire connector to the alternator, if it jumps up to 13 volts or so then the draw is there. Otherwise you can do the same test and disconnect various fuses to try and track down the item that is giving you trouble. A constant draw will probably make your battery read 12 volts or less when it should be up around 13 or 14.
Absolutely. If a diode shorts to ground it can drain a battery in a very short time.
bad ignition switch, bad battery, bad alternator/regulator,
A raidator in need of a flush will not cause a battery drain.
Highly unlikely.
The wrong spark plug wire(s) can cause engine problems including not running but won't drain the battery.
Yes it can.
A dead cell in the battery will cause it to loose it's charge overnight. The only fix is to replace the battery. Any light that is staying on will drain the battery. Also a stuck relay will drain the battery.
Dead cell in the battery. Something on which is drawing power from the battery. Stuck relay.
A short in the wiring.
there is a short some where in the electrical system... or a bad battery.
If it stays on all the time it will drain the battery
Dead cell in the battery, any light on the car that is staying on, or a stuck relay.
