The simultaneous failure of all gauges in the dashboard cluster, along with the transmission entering limp home mode, could be caused by a malfunctioning vehicle control module (VCM) or a failure in the power supply to the dashboard. Additionally, issues such as a blown fuse, damaged wiring, or a faulty sensor can disrupt communication between the engine management system and the dashboard. These problems typically trigger safety protocols, leading the transmission to limit performance to prevent further damage.
what do you mean? did they stop working, work now and then, or what is working and what not? if everthing is dead and the truck runs ok, then ckeck the fuses, but im not sure at all it could be PCM related.
Check for a blown fuse.
The issue with your dashboard gauges not working could be due to a faulty fuse, a disconnected or damaged wiring connection, a defective instrument cluster, or a malfunctioning sensor. It is best to have a professional mechanic diagnose and troubleshoot the problem to determine the exact cause and solution.
Saturns do not use a speedometer cable to control the gauges on the cluster. It uses the magnetic pickup located in the vehicle speed sensor, mounted in the back side of the transmission. The computer then sends signals to the dashboard to operate the gauges electronically
Is it all the gauges or some? You make have to take the instrumental cluster apart. Make sure all the hardness for the gauges are all connected.
Yes, the Dodge Caliber has a fuse that protects the dashboard gauges and instrument cluster. If the gauges are not functioning properly, checking the relevant fuse in the fuse box is a good first step in troubleshooting the issue. Typically, the fuse for the instrument cluster is labeled in the owner's manual, which can guide you to the correct location. If the fuse is intact and the issue persists, further diagnostics may be needed.
Check the gauges fuse ... may be a short, bad wire or a bad ground. Doesn't happen open but your cluster may be bad as well. NELSON
The year, make and model would help but with some vehicles all the dash cluster gauges are protected with one fuse.
Check fuses under dashboard, driver side.
Yes.
Your speedometer may have failed, or the speedometer cable that connects to the transmission, or the plastic gear in the transmission may be broken.
You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster. IE the tachometer and speedometer. The light bulb is a white light, and the gauges are colored red so in order to change the color of the gauges youd have to buy a custom made cluster. You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster.
