Noise from the rear of a Toyota Tundra 4x4 can be caused by several factors, including worn or damaged rear differential components, such as bearings or gears, which can create grinding or whining sounds. Additionally, issues with the rear axle or wheel bearings may lead to rumbling or clunking noises. Loose or damaged exhaust components can also contribute to unusual sounds. It's important to diagnose the issue promptly to prevent further damage.
Bearings going bad.
could be the CV jopints of the car
You probably need your bearings repacked
rear differential got lube? rear wheel bearings?
What kind of noise and is it just one tire?
it could be a bad wheel bearing.
The first thing to check for a wobbly rear end noise is the wheel bearings. If they are ok, check the brake system for worn or broken parts.
It could be objects shaking in the trunk or something loose on the rear license plate or a problem with the catalytic converter or exhaust pipes.
check the rear drag links for wear the ball joints wear out a lot on them
If it happens only when turning corners, this is likely to come from the differential. A ball bearing problem would make noise all the time.
It's probably your shock mounts, I had the same problem. The noise went away after I replaced the shock mounts.
I would check the suspension bushings, if one of them is worn it would cause a knocking noise.
