Has the fuel system pressure been tested? I'd suspect the fuel pump or fule regulator. It may not be a pressure problem at all. You may need a new "valve body" for your transmission. This can cause problems like a feeling of a fuel problem or misfire, or transmission flutter between 40-50 MPH. If this issue occurs at idle speed then you may need to replace your valve covers, spark plugs, and coils. If you do all of them then that it a $2k job. If you do it yourself then you can look for which spark plugs have oil around them and only replace the coil on those ($80-$100 per coil).
