It depends on what weather conditions you are driving in. If you are driving in harsh snowy weather then studded tires can be your best friend. They will help you produce traction on a road that is slippery and icy. On a regular dry road, you do not need studded tired, they can damage the balance on your tires if you drive with them too much.
its against the law to have studded tires EDIT: NOT TRUE. Studded tires are not illegal everywhere. Certain states and provinces allow studded tires between set dates during the season. Check with your local laws. To stud a tire, it needs to be a special tire that was made to accept studs.
The camber might need to be changed on a car for the tires to wear evenly. A car that is out of alignment will be very hard on the tires.
No this mount does not require a studded wall, you simply have to drill one pair of holes into your wall in order to support it.
Means you need an oil change, tires rotated and your filters changed. It costs about $200.
A proper kit consistsmof shorts a long or short sleeve top and a pair of studded boots( studded boots only on grass)
Yes they can be interchanged and changed out. When doing this change one must make sure they are changed out in equal pairs. The two fronts and two backs have to be changed at the same time in order for it to work. One may also need to change the axle in some extreme conditions.
Depends on what you mean. If you're only facing snow that's still soft enough to take an impression, then what you want is the widest tires your frame/fork can take, a fairly open tread pattern and run them on low pressure. If you want traction on ice and hardpack too, then you need studded tires. For recreational use you can make your own. I'll post a link, scroll down 3/4 of the page. Note that the screws used for studs in the DIY tires are fairly soft, and wear out fast if you hit regular patches of bare roads/rock. For regular use I recommend buying studded tires instead. Their studs are much harder than the home made variety, and hold up quite well on bare roads.
You need the tires that are most appropriate for your car.
No, you need the tires with the air in them to tow it.
A vehicle with 28 tires would need 7 tires.
