You don't. It's a cam chain and will outlive the engine.
Never. The Taurus engines...both the Vulcan and the Duratec V6s...both have a timing CHAIN that lasts the life of the engine, not a timing belt.
If it is a DURATEC engine the answer is no as it is chain driven. If it is ZETEC engine then yes it does have a cam belt.
As far as I know all the V6 engines used in a Ford Taurus over the years have had a timing CHAIN ( or in the case of the " Duratec " DOHC , V6 engine , two timing chains / one chain to each cylinder head )
Your 3.0 liter Duratec V6 engine in a Ford Freestyle has ( 2 ) timing chains ( 1 timing chain to each cylinder head )
Hi you say its 2.5 if its the duratec V6 engine it doesnt have a cam belt and is in fact chain driven hope this helps
The 3.0 liter Duratec V6 engine in a Ford Escape has ( 1 timing CHAIN to each cylinder head , so there are 2 timing CHAINS )
No , the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " engine and the 3.0 liter " Duratec " engine have a timing CHAIN
Ford fiesta change the repenting belt
In a 2002 Ford Taurus : Both 3.0 liter V6 engines , the " Vulcan " and the " Duratec " use a timing CHAIN
Yes it does have a timing belt; it has a long life interval of 150,000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first.
it has a timing chain !
On a 2007 Ford Freestyle : The 3.0 liter DURATEC V6 engine has ( 1 timing CHAIN to each cylinder head , so there are 2 timing CHAINS ) * no timing BELT
