On a 1999 VW Jetta, the emergency and turn signal flashers are located on the dashboard, typically to the left of the steering wheel, near the headlight switch. The flasher switch is marked with a red triangle symbol for the emergency flashers. To activate the turn signals, use the stalk located on the left side of the steering column.
Is it possible that somebody else turned the emergency flashers on without your knowledge? And if so , over time the battery will get drained of it's power as if you were listening to the radio for a while. Just a thought .

The Fiero has two flashers from the factory, the signal light flasher and the emergency or four way flasher. These are identical GM style two prong flashers. There are many quality levels and even a few novelty flashers available.
