When replacing struts, ALWAYS replace them in pairs.
yes
Yes, a wheel alignment is typically needed when the front struts are replaced. This is because the replacement of struts can affect the vehicle's suspension geometry, potentially altering the alignment of the wheels. Proper alignment ensures optimal tire wear, handling, and safety. It's recommended to have an alignment performed after any suspension work, including strut replacement.
The struts themselves will cost around $80 each. The labor to install them plus a front end alignment will depend on where you have them installed. Expect to pay around $300 to $400 total.
hou to replace rear struts
I just got quoted a price of around $500 for front struts and alignment along with labor. I think they said the struts themselves were around $119 each. That initially seemed excessive to me but have done a lot of research online and talked with a buddy of mine that owns a Honda. We both came to the conclusion that $500 for struts and alignment and labor for a Honda Civic EX is probably in the ball park. Hope that helps
