In a 2006 Ford Fusion , gasoline engines : The 2.3 liter four cylinder engine has ( 4 spark plugs ) The 3.0 liter V6 engine has ( 6 spark plugs )
Check the Vehicle Emission Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of the engine compartment ( it will show what type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
There are six plugs. The plugs are located at the end of the spark plug wire. There are 2 banks of plugs. One bank you can see and the other bank is located ib the back of the engine.

According to the 2005 Ford Freestyle Owner Guide : For the 3.0 litre Duratec V6 engine the spark plugs are gapped at ( .052 to .056 inch ) * confirm with the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal in the front of your engine compartment
the first three spark plugs are easy to remove. first you have to Remove the b*llshit coil on wire setup, and than the spark plugs are right below them. for the second set of three you have to take off the whole air intake assembly. have fun, as i am doing it in my mothers car right now.
