To hook up the fuel lines on a 1986 Yamaha FJ1200, locate the fuel petcock and connect the fuel line from the petcock to the carburetors, ensuring it fits securely to prevent leaks. For the vacuum lines, connect the vacuum hose from the carburetors to the petcock, as this controls fuel flow based on engine vacuum. Be sure to check the service manual for specific routing and any additional connections unique to your model. Lastly, inspect all lines for proper fit and any signs of wear or damage before starting the engine.
it is located in the tank but you can get to it without dropping the tank. It is located top side..look for the fuel lines...and do you know how to hook up the vacuum lines on that same truck? or can you send me a picture of them?

the fuel filter is located under the trunk, next to the fuel tank, it just takes the quick release tools to un hook the ends. it has three fuel lines on it.
To hook up the fuel lines on a McCulloch Silver Eagle chainsaw, first identify the two lines: the larger one is typically the fuel supply line, while the smaller one is the return line. Attach the fuel supply line to the carburetor inlet, ensuring it fits snugly. Connect the return line to the appropriate outlet on the carburetor, and ensure there are no kinks or obstructions in either line. Finally, double-check all connections for security before starting the chainsaw.
It is located on the passenger side below the carburator. It should be white in color with two fuel lines going to it and is held in place with a metal clip assembly. It sits right over the right side inner fender.Note before you replace the filter the hose hook up the filter may or may not have a arrow on it indicating the flow of fuel being from the tank to the fuel pump. Most new filters have the arrow and if you do hook up the two lines wrong the truck will run out of fuel to the pump and you would simply change the lines to the opposing ends to correct the installation.I would look at the fuel lines and see which fuel line goes to the pump and which line is coming from underneath the cab if you have not done this to avoid any problems.
take the fuel lines off of the pump and take the 2 bolts out that hold it on and pull it off, to reinstall there is a pushrod inside the engine that rides on the pump arm, you have to push the rod back up out of the way and quickly insert the pump in place and reinstall the 2 bolts and then hook up your fuel lines to the pump and your done.
This is very easy. Jack up the front passenger side. Put a jackstand in the correct place. If this is a small block, the fuel pump is under the alternator. There are 2 bolts holding it to the block and 2 lines, 1 going into it, 1 going out. Un hook the lines (One will be rubber, it should be replaced). Then put the new pump in, and hook it all back up in the opposite order. Its pretty straightforward.
