To bleed the brakes on a 2004 Ford Freestar, start by ensuring the vehicle is secure and the brake fluid reservoir is full. Begin with the wheel farthest from the master cylinder, typically the right rear, and have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times before holding it down. Open the bleeder valve on the brake caliper to release air and fluid, then close the valve before the assistant releases the pedal. Repeat this process for the left rear, then the right front, and finally the left front, checking the fluid level in the reservoir throughout.
