I think it is near front grill in front of radiator
It monitors the atmospheric (outside) temperature.
It is under the alternator.
underneath the front bumper in the middle.
P1492 (M) Ambient/Battery Temperature Sensor Volts Too High Battery temperature sensor input above acceptable range.
P1942 Transmission adaptation, On a Dodge Durango the ambient temperature sensor is used by the DPLV, heated oxygen sensor circuit and a transmission fluid temperature sensor , If the ambient temperature is not rational in regards to the engine temperature sensor the transmission temperature will adapt to a substituted temperature value, this in turn will effect the 2-3 shift points on the transmission,
P0073 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input
Near the left headlight, on the side of the radiator.
Do you mean the ambient (outside) temperature sensor? It is usually located between the grill and the radiator, near the middle and at the bottom of the radiator.
P0071=Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Range/Performance. There is a temp sensor in the fresh air intake that monitors the ambient air temp coming into the engine. Check to see if it is disconnected. On this van, the ambient temperature sensor is located in front of the bottom of the ac condenser.
behind the thermostat housing,two wires
The ambient temperature sensor on a 2008 Dodge Caliber is typically located in the front of the vehicle, often near the front grille or behind the bumper. It may be mounted on the driver's side, designed to measure the outside air temperature. If you're having trouble locating it, consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.
It is the two wire sensor next to the thermostat housing.
