It is under the van on the left side below driver's seat. You need a special tool to remove it that is available in most autoparts stores. On my 1986 E 150; Under the drivers side front seat, Under-side of the van, mounted to the frame rail. About the size of a small oil filter; inlet and outlet on opposite ends.
