erg or egr? egr valve is located in the back top of the engine slightly to the left if your looking under the hood. it looks like a cylinder...thats the way it is in my 98 anyhow It is to the rear of the motor on left. Cylinder shaped with wires coming out of the top. 2 bolts hold it in place.
The EGR valve on a 95 Isuzu Rodeo is located on the back top of the engine. It resembles a cylinder.
The egr valve is on the passenger side of the motor. It is a round canister at the back almost at the firewall.
disconnect the wire, unscrew two bolts then you have egr valve in your hand its that easy. ohhh if you are putting new egr valve it's worth putting new gasket.BUT I'll recommend not to buy new egr valve, just clean it.here is the link to egr pic and some reusing detail about egr valve http://www.icess.ucsb.edu/~greg/rodeo/egr.htm
EGR valve is in engine compartment, next to firewall, slightly left of centerline when looking at the engine from the front (bumper).
== == First off Your Honda is really an Isuzu Rodeo, but you already knew that. These have the GM electronic egr. if you have the 3.2 motor. The only way to fix it is to replace the egr valve.
where do I find the egr valve on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier?
It needs a new EGR valve.
The P0402 code on a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo indicates that there is an excess flow of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) detected by the engine control module (ECM). This can be caused by a malfunctioning EGR valve, a blocked EGR passage, or issues with the vacuum lines related to the EGR system. As a result, the vehicle may experience poor performance, increased emissions, or rough idling. It's advisable to inspect the EGR system components and related sensors to diagnose and resolve the issue.
EGR or Mass air flow sensor
It does not have EGR.
A 1999 Ram does not have EGR.
A 1999 Dakota does not have EGR.
