In/out hose located on valve cover (fresh air)
Dirty air sucked in through breather hole on manifold
On a 2005 Ford Taurus with the 3.0 liter Vulcan , V6 engine : The PCV valve is heated ( in the power distribution box , which is " live " , located at the front of the engine compartment near the battery , mini fuse # 22 is a 5 amp fuse for the heated PCV valve on the Vulcan engine )
I would say that my 1998 S-10 does not have a PCV valve, at all, anywhere.
if you look towards the left of the engine there is a black hose going into the engine with a big plastic nut....just twist the black nut and then pull the hose out and you should see the PCV valve hanging from the end. Just pull it off and replace....
Standard 2.2 engine has 115 h.p. There is an optional 2.2 with 140 h.p.
On the oil fill cap side of the valve cover. To access the PCV valve you will need to remove the protective plastic cover mounted over the valve cover area. Two small nuts are holding it in place. Unlike other PCV valves you may have changed in the past, this one is screwed into the valve cover instead of being inserted into a grommet. You will need a 22 mm deep socket or a suitable wrench to remove it.
To replace the thermostat on a 2002 Cavalier 22 Ecotec, drain the radiator and remove the upper hose assembly. Replace the thermostat and refill the radiator.

The valve clearance for a 22 hp Briggs & Stratton engine typically ranges from 0.005 to 0.007 inches (0.127 to 0.178 mm) for both the intake and exhaust valves. It's important to refer to the specific engine model's manual for precise specifications, as there may be slight variations based on the engine type or configuration. Proper valve clearance ensures optimal engine performance and longevity.
valve cover was leaking slightly before the power loss, and the engine has 140,000 miles on it.
The code in which you are referring to is from the OBD-O B16A Pr 3 ecu. Code 22 which is the Variable Valve Timing & Valve Lift Electronic Control Pressure Switch... aka (VTEC Pressure Switch) Hope this helped.
For a Briggs & Stratton 22 HP engine used in lawn tractors, the valve clearance is typically set at 0.005 inches (0.127 mm) for both the intake and exhaust valves when the engine is cold. It's important to refer to the specific engine model's manual for exact specifications, as they can vary slightly. Regularly checking and adjusting the valve clearance can help maintain optimal engine performance.
There should be a placard under the hood listing the valve clearance. 12 and 16 valve engines Intake and auxiliary valves .007 to .009 in (.17 to .22mm) Exhaust Valves (carbureted 12 valve engine) .007 to .009 in (.17 to .22mm) Exhaust Valves (all others) .009 to .011 in (.22 to .27mm) 8 valve engine Intake valves .005 to .007 in (.12 to .17mm) Exhaust valve .007 to .009 in (.17 to .22mm)
