I believe there are 2 batteries for this model. One in the trunk, the other on the right side near the firewall, under a big black plastic housing. You need to figure out which battery needs replacing,, and you should also check the alternator as well. Why, this is a fairly new car, and the battery should be fine...they should go about 5 years. So it might be the alternator....and they're easy to check anyway. Remember, don't buy a cheap replacement battery for this car...they're using 2 batteries and like 100w systems...there's a lot going on in the electrical systems on these new cars, and it pays to spend the extra few dollars to do it right.
To jump-start a 2007 CLS 550, you’ll need a set of jumper cables and a functioning vehicle. First, connect one end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery, and the other end to the positive (+) terminal of the working battery. Next, connect one end of the black cable to the negative (-) terminal of the working battery and the other end to a metal ground on the car with the dead battery. Start the working vehicle, let it run for a few minutes, then attempt to start your CLS 550.
